The Story of Constable Heather Japha.

Yesterday was an ordinary day on special patrol for Constable Heather Japha, attached to the Central Police Station, when she came across a serious road traffic accident along Constitution Avenue. Without hesitation, she responded to the scene, where a woman lay motionless on the road. The situation was critical the victim had no pulse and was not breathing.

Relying on her training and instinct, Constable Japha immediately began performing Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation 🫁 (CPR). After several minutes of persistent effort, the victim began to show signs of life. She had been successfully resuscitated, her life saved even before the ambulance arrived.

Constable Japha’s quick actions and calm response under pressure made all the difference. In recognition of her bravery and dedication to duty, the Seychelles Police Force formally acknowledged her heroic act, praising her commitment to preserving life and serving the community.

Her story serves as a powerful reminder of the difference one officer can make and the true meaning of service in the line of duty.
