British High Commissioner

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Godfra Hermitte, met with the British High Commissioner as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the longstanding partnership between the Seychelles Police Force and the United Kingdom.
Discussions focused on reinforcing cooperation agreements between the two forces, with emphasis on the strategic review of policing priorities and key areas for implementation. Both parties highlighted the importance of continued collaboration in capacity building, training, and the modernization of policing practices.
The meeting also acknowledged the strong bilateral relationship that has existed over the years, through which the Seychelles Police Force has benefitted from technical assistance, specialised training, and past donations from the British Government. These contributions have significantly enhanced operational capabilities and supported the Force in addressing evolving security challenges.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation, with a shared vision of building a more professional, modern, and resilient police service. The Seychelles Police Force remains dedicated to maintaining strong international partnerships in its mission to ensure public safety and security.
