Milestone

The Seychelles Police Force celebrated a significant milestone with the official signing of documents and the commencement of construction for a new police station at Île Perseverance.
The ceremony, held yesterday at the Commissioner of Police Office, brought together key stakeholders and senior officers. The signing was officiated by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Godfra Hermitte, alongside Mrs. Dorayne Calderin-Torres, Director General of the Seychelles Infrastructure Agency (SIA), and Mr. Karsan Kerai, Managing Director of Gopinath Builders, the contractor appointed for the project.
Funded by the Ministry of Homeland Security and Civil Affairs, the new station demonstrates a major investment in bolstering law enforcement infrastructure, with a contract value of SCR 19,781,998.00. The station is expected to be completed in 2027.
The Perseverance Police Station will function as a facility aimed at enhancing policing capacity, improving community safety, and providing officers with the necessary resources to deliver effective law enforcement services. This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to strengthening public security and supporting the operational needs of the Seychelles Police Force.
